Potassium Cryolite
Potassium cryolite melts at approximately 570°C, much lower than sodium cryolite. In resin-bonded cutting and grinding wheels it helps reduce interface temperature, lubricate the cutting surface, and improve strength, sharpness, and wear resistance. Recommended addition: 5–15% of abrasive weight (abrasive : cryolite = 100 : 5–15).

| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Reference melting point | Approx. 570 °C |
| Suggested addition | 5–15% of abrasive mass |
| Ratio basis | Abrasive : cryolite = 100 : 5–15 |
Dosage basis
Addition is expressed relative to abrasive mass, not total batch mass. Use the catalog range for selection and verify it with the resin system and production trials.
Specification confirmation and technical documents
State the application and purchase requirement. Request grade-specific technical data, packaging and storage information from the account manager; unspecified properties are not confirmed supply specifications.
Application review and samples
Provide the abrasive product, current material, process stage and issue to address. For additives, include the resin system and dosage basis; for separators, operating temperature and contact surfaces; for adhesives, substrates and curing process.
