Products and Projects
01What support does LUMEI provide for cutting disc or grinding wheel manufacturing projects?
LUMEI supports equipment selection, production-line planning, raw-material selection and supply discussions, and related process support. Projects may involve a new factory, expansion or a single machine. Tell us your intended products, target output and project stage so that equipment, materials, trials and service scope can be defined.
02Is it possible to produce all types of grinding wheels with the same solution?
One configuration does not cover every grinding-wheel type. These guides focus on resin-bonded grinding wheels, cutting discs and related equipment. Other bonds, constructions or applications require separate review. Even resin-bonded products may need different tooling, configurations and validation. Provide samples or drawings to establish the applicable scope.
03Can the small-disc configuration produce 100 mm cutting discs?
The specific press model matters. The published 54-station press description includes 100–125 mm, while the detailed 68-station range is 107–125 mm; that does not establish suitability for 100 mm. Provide diameter, thickness, bore and reinforcement construction, then confirm the press, tooling and configuration.

04Can the large-disc press produce 350 mm products?
The published detailed range for the relevant press is 355–405 mm. A 350 mm requirement needs separate confirmation; an approximate diameter or the label “14-inch” is insufficient. Provide a drawing or sample, thickness, bore and construction so that the equipment and tooling scope can be checked.
05Can I purchase only one piece of equipment instead of the entire production line?
A single-machine purchase can be discussed. Explain the upstream and downstream stages, intended products, actual output, existing equipment and site power conditions. For a new press, for example, check material supply, tooling, curing and handling so that the existing downstream process does not remain the bottleneck.
Equipment and site
06How many qualified products can the production line produce every day?
Multiplying peak press speed by working hours does not establish daily line output. Assess the product mix, materials, process, shifts and changeovers, then coordinate mixing, forming, curing, inspection and packing. Loading, complete curing cycles, downtime and quality losses also affect conforming output. State the estimate’s assumptions and how they will be verified.
07How do I choose between a single pressing head and double pressing heads?
Select the configuration against the product, tooling, feeding and reinforcement arrangements, stations and production plan. Pressing-head count alone does not establish product coverage, quality or line output; two pressing heads do not automatically imply a particular mesh construction. Provide planned products and samples or drawings to assess the alternatives and trials.
08Can the equipment layout be adjusted to our factory?
Layout and configuration can be discussed against your product and workshop conditions; the feasible adjustments require technical confirmation. Provide a dimensioned plan, columns, door openings, clear height, unloading and handling routes, power, storage and expansion needs. Allow operating, maintenance, changeover and handling space as well as equipment footprints.
09How much area is needed to build a factory?
There is no universal factory area for all products and output levels. Allow for equipment, raw materials, finished goods, mixed material and work-in-progress storage, curing handling, inspection, packing and access. A product plan, target output and workshop drawing are needed before a layout and area requirement can be assessed.
Materials and processes
10What raw materials or supporting materials can LUMEI supply?
Use the current materials catalog to discuss abrasives and related manufacturing supplies. Specify the material, grade or specification, intended product, quantity and destination, then confirm availability, technical documents, packaging and delivery. A catalog entry is not confirmation of supply for a particular grade, batch or order.
11Can all resin binders be supplied?
Confirm supply by specific product. For phenolic resin powder, liquid resin or another binder, state the type, application, technical requirements and required documents, then check available specifications. Different resin materials have different uses; information for one product does not confirm supply of another.
12Is formulation and process support available?
Material application, mixing, forming and curing support can be discussed for the intended product. Provide specifications, samples, current materials and issues so that trial scope, evaluation and deliverables can be agreed. Define support, charges and use of technical information in the project; buying one machine does not automatically include a formulation for every product.
13Which documents can I download? Are TDS, SDS and COA documents available?
Equipment and raw-material brochures are available on the downloads page. Availability of technical data sheets (TDS), safety data sheets (SDS) and certificates of analysis (COA) depends on the specific product and document status. Specify the material, specification and documents needed. A batch-related COA should correspond to the actual supplied batch.
14What is the raw material packaging and minimum order quantity?
Packaging and minimum order quantity depend on the material, specification and order. Provide the catalog item or material name, specification, expected quantity, destination and any special packaging needs. The quotation should align the quantity per package, total quantity and delivery arrangements with the stated material specification.
Installation and after-sales
15Is installation training free?
The published terms include one training course for 1–2 customer-designated engineers, with no separate course fee. Onsite engineering services and agreed travel, meals and accommodation are charged separately under the service terms. The course fee and onsite service charges are separate items. Training covers operation, controls, maintenance, troubleshooting and safety. Confirm the participants, schedule and site readiness in advance. No course fee does not mean all installation or onsite services are free.
16How much do field engineer services cost?
The published onsite engineer rate is USD 150 per person per day, plus agreed customer-paid meals, accommodation, return and local travel, and communications. Confirm staffing, scope, duration and costs before departure. The agreed project documents govern the final arrangements. Compare onsite service charges separately from the training-course fee.
17How long is the warranty and when does it start?
The published hardware warranty is 12 months under normal use, starting when installation and commissioning are completed. Read the coverage and exclusions together, including misuse, inadequate maintenance and unauthorized modification or repair. Confirm the commissioning completion record and subsequent service contact arrangements.
18After equipment failure, can it be repaired within 24 hours?
The commitment is a response and preliminary diagnostic guidance within 24 hours after complete fault information is received, not a 24-hour repair deadline. Provide the model, symptoms, alarms, occurrence time, photos or video and checks already performed. Repair arrangements and timing depend on the cause, parts and any onsite work needed.
Inspection and Quotation
19What tests can BK350 complete? Can it replace all safety and performance inspections?
The relevant proposal describes static unbalance and phase measurement for BK350. It does not establish dynamic balancing or coverage of all safety and performance tests. Define the measurement, product range, method and acceptance requirements before checking equipment functions. Balance, rotational-strength and cutting or grinding performance tests serve different purposes.
20What information is needed for a useful production line quotation?
Provide intended product dimensions and construction, product mix, target conforming output, shifts, project location and stage, workshop conditions and existing equipment. Mark unknown items as “to confirm”. Compare machines, auxiliaries, tooling, materials, transport, installation, training, trials and acceptance on the same basis, identifying inclusions, options and buyer responsibilities. Confidential formulations are unnecessary for initial discussions.
